We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our fast-growing cybersecurity startup. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by prospecting and qualifying leads, working closely with the sales team to drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for cybersecurity, a strong ability to communicate, and a drive to succeed in a fast-paced startup environment. Weβre looking for passionate, sales-driven individuals with strong ethics and exceptional communication skills - people who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a proven ability to close deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Identify and research potential leads through outbound activities such as cold calling, email outreach, and social media prospecting (LinkedIn, etc.).
- Lead Qualification: Qualify inbound leads and convert them into sales opportunities by identifying customer needs and aligning them with our cybersecurity solutions.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Track, manage, and update lead status and interactions in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Account Executives to schedule meetings and demos with qualified leads, providing them with all necessary information about our products and services.
- Market Research: Stay informed about cybersecurity industry trends and competitor offerings to identify new opportunities and refine outreach strategies.
- Performance Metrics: Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly outreach and lead qualification targets.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in sales development, lead generation, or inside sales (preferably in the B2B tech or cybersecurity space).
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to engage prospects effectively.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and a desire to grow within a sales career.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and prospecting software (e.g., Outreach, Apollo).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Passion for cybersecurity and a keen interest in learning about the latest industry trends and technologies.
