We’re Hiring – Part Time Bookkeeper (Recruitment Industry Experience preferred)
This is a London-based role, with hybrid working (2 days per week in our office). We’re a collaborative, social and fast-paced team, so we’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working closely with Senior Leadership.

The Role
We’re looking for a bookkeeper who understands the unique financial flow of a recruitment business. You’ll help us keep our accounts in top shape, ensuring everything is accurate, compliant, and ready for smooth reporting. This is a part-time, flexible role – ideal for someone who wants to work with a collaborative team but maintain their freedom.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for our recruitment operations
- Reconcile bank statements, invoices, and expense reports
- Track contractor payments, permanent placement invoices, and client billing cycles
- Handle VAT returns and liaise with our accountant
- Maintain accurate financial records in line with HMRC requirements
- Provide monthly P&L and cash flow reports for leadership
What We’re Looking For
- Proven bookkeeping experience (freelance or employed)
- 2+ years experience
- Knowledge of recruitment industry financial processes (contractor payroll, perm placement invoicing, rebates, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Xero (or similar cloud-based accounting software)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
- UK-based, with working knowledge of UK accounting and tax requirements
