We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team in a high-precision manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CNC machinery, a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. This role requires both technical expertise and leadership capabilities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective maintenance of all production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues across a variety of CNC machines.
  • Interpret and utilize electrical and hydraulic schematics for diagnostics and repairs.
  • Maintain and optimize preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Perform and oversee in-depth repairs, including ball screw replacements, turret alignments, and coolant-through rotary union replacements.
  • Collaborate with OEMs both remotely and on-site to resolve advanced technical issues.
  • Make informed decisions on when to escalate issues to OEMs or third-party technicians.
  • Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities and machine parameters.
  • Support and train maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and repair techniques.
  • Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment with production and engineering teams.
  • Conduct routine coolant and oil changes, and ensure all equipment is operating within specified parameters.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a maintenance leadership role within a precision or CNC manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machines from brands such as Mazak, Okuma, Haas, Mori Seiki, or similar.
  • Familiarity with control systems including Fanuc, Siemens, Yasnac, etc.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Experience working with machine OEMs for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Knowledge of CNC machine parameters and how to adjust them as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute a preventive maintenance program.
