An established firm based in Blue Bell, PA with over 40 years in practice is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its litigation team in a hybrid capacity. The role focuses on general liability litigation, commercial motor vehicle defense, UM/UIM, premises liability, construction accident, and product liability matters, with responsibility for handling files from inception through resolution.

Qualifications:

  • JD from an ABA-approved law school and active Pennsylvania bar license in good standing
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar is preferred
  • 5+ years of general liability litigation experience is required
  • Experience managing litigation files from inception through resolution
  • Experience with commercial motor vehicle defense, UM/UIM, premises liability, construction accident, and product liability matters is required
  • Trial experience is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software is preferred
  • Strong time management, organization, communication, and independent case-handling skills in a high-volume litigation environment

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate new matters and develop litigation strategy from the outset
  • Communicate with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel throughout the life of the case
  • Manage discovery, including drafting requests, preparing responses, reviewing production, and handling discovery disputes
  • Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives
  • Research legal issues and prepare memoranda on liability, damages, procedural, and coverage-related issues
  • Draft and argue discovery motions, dispositive motions, pre-trial motions, post-trial motions, and appellate submissions
  • Attend court conferences, pre-trial listings, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences
  • Prepare matters for trial, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, motion practice, and trial strategy
  • Handle motions and trial-related responsibilities in state and federal litigation matters
