Details: My client are seeking a Digital Business Analyst to enhance the standards and delivery of their digital project portfolio. This role is central to ensuring successful digital initiatives by providing clarity and direction throughout the change lifecycle.
Reporting to the Lead BA Manager and working with senior stakeholders across the business, you will capture and represent business and user needs, with a strong focus on optimising client-facing digital platforms so they remain intuitive, efficient, and aligned to customer expectations.
You will apply strong analytical skills in an agile environment, contributing to digital product delivery, user-centred design, end-to-end system integrations and supporting the delivery of high-quality digital products. You will work closely with Product Owners and third party UX/UI specialists and development squads to improve data flow, automation, and customer experience.
This is a varied and impactful role offering the opportunity to shape digital capabilities, champion best practice, and drive continuous improvement as the business evolves its digital offering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead digital projects through the full lifecycle ensuring solutions fulfil defined requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to capture requirements and document business needs, decisions, risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Analyse and map digital business processes, identifying & assessing end-to-end impacts of change and ensuring these insights inform overall solution design.
- Produce functional and non-functional requirements, process flows, and supporting documentation aligned to agile delivery methods.
- Champion business requirements with a strong focus on collaboration, iterative delivery, and alignment to tactical and strategic digital objectives across the business.
- Support agile delivery teams, working closely with Product Owners, UX/UI designers, and development squads to refine backlogs, clarify requirements, and ensure sprint goals are met.
- Ensure quality throughout delivery, supporting test planning and execution validating that digital solutions meet expectations and business requirements.
- Support integrations across systems, documenting interface/API requirements and ensuring smooth communication between the client portal and internal/external systems.
- Promote best practice in digital business analysis, continuously seeking ways to improve processes, enhance documentation standards, and contribute to the maturity of digital delivery methods.
- Act as a proactive change advocate, helping stakeholders understand digital capabilities, emerging opportunities, and the benefits of iterative and agile delivery.
Essential:
- Strong understanding of the insurance and reinsurance industry including how digital solutions support underwriting, broking, claims, and client-facing services.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a strong track record delivering digital, customer-facing or technology-driven projects.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience operating within cross-functional agile delivery teams.
- Experience with client portals, quote-and-buy journeys, or other customer self-service digital products.
- Strong understanding of system integrations, such as APIs and platform-to-platform communication (e.g. between a client portal and internal/external systems).
- Ability to translate business needs into clear, concise digital requirements (functional, non-functional, UX-focused).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to work across business, product, and technical teams.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced digital delivery environments, managing competing priorities and adapting to evolving requirements.
Desirable:
- Experience within the London Market broking environment.
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles, user journeys, wireframes, and customer-centric design.
- Exposure to testing activities such as functional testing, UAT, integration testing, and defect triage.
