Senior DevOps Engineer - Azure - Cyber Security - Hybrid (UK) £55,000 - £65,000 + Pension + Private Healthcare + Share Scheme + Electric Car Scheme - hybrid - 2 days in the office per week so fantastic flexibility / work-life balance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with previous leadership experience who is looking to be the SME for a small DevOps team and is keen to find a new challenge within a rapidly growing cyber security technology company.

Your role

Provide strategic leadership to ensure reliable, scalable infrastructure and applications, driving automation, DevSecOps adoption, and continuous delivery. Enhance deployment processes, maintain compliance with security and ISO standards, and evolve cloud and on-premises platforms to meet future business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application delivery.
  • Manage and optimise Azure and on-premises application environments.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and performance management solutions.
  • Apply security best practices and ensure compliance across infrastructure and deployments.
  • Automate processes through scripting and tooling to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development and IT teams to support applications and resolve deployment issues.
  • Manage incidents and service requests in line with ITIL practices.
  • Identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities across infrastructure, applications, and pipelines.
  • Maintain secure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards and environment provisioning.
  • Manage secrets, certificates, credentials, and identity access controls.
  • Integrate security controls and automated testing throughout the DevSecOps lifecycle.

Experience Required

  • 5+ years experience in a Senior DevOps role with at least 2 in a leadership position plus architecture responsibilities.
  • Strong Azure expertise; AWS/GCP knowledge beneficial.
  • Experience with CI/CD, networking, security, Microsoft infrastructure, and Azure networking.
  • Knowledge of identity and secrets management (Entra ID, Key Vault, RBAC).
  • Experience with FinOps, monitoring/observability, DevSecOps, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with Agile/DevOps practices and excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Eligible for UK security clearance.
