Fully Remote (UK) Up to £120,000 + Pension + Private Healthcare + Share Scheme + 25 Days Holiday This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PKI Engineer or a Lead Engineer who is looking for a new challenge building and leading the PKI strategy for a rapidly scaling-up tech company. Do you have experience of taking full ownership of an enterprise PKI environment and are looking for a career move or looking to step-up in to a lead role then this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a high-growth company where you will define, lead and shape the PKI posture from the ground up. The Role You will lead the strategy, architecture and ongoing development of the organisations PKI, working closely with engineering and security teams to deliver secure, scalable cryptographic services. Key areas of ownership include: PKI strategy and architecture
Certificate Authority (CA) design and key ceremonies
HSM deployment and lifecycle management
Secure key management and PKI policies
Governance, compliance and best practice alignment
Experience Required
Experience in PKI or cryptography-focused roles
Proven experience in a senior or lead PKI engineering position
Strong knowledge of PKI architecture and CA management
Deep understanding of cryptography principles and standards
Hands-on experience with HSMs (ideally nShield or Luna)
Knowledge of PKCS#11 and secure key management practices
Experience in regulated or security-focused environments
Java and/or Python skills desirable
