Your new company
I am looking for an Information Security Manager to join a great defence organisation based in Wiltshire.
You'll be joining an organisation in a period of growth and expansion, whilst being able to take ownership of the Information Security processes and procedures moving forward.
This is a newly created role.
The role responsibilities
- Lead organisation wide IT security awareness
- Own and drive the IT security strategy and roadmap, collaborating closely with the Group to align approaches.
- Ensure framework alignment with ISO27001, Secure by Design, CE+
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders and Group cyber teams to enable effective project delivery, business change, and compliance.
- Support the Head of IT by driving senior leadership team awareness and understanding of the cyber security agenda.
- Own the full lifecycle of IT security initiatives from inception and design through delivery and transition into business as usual, tracking and demonstrating progress at every stage.
You will need
- Strong demonstrable experience of IT and cyber governance, compliance, risk, and security within IT environments.
- Strong, in-depth understanding of information and cyber security.
- Proven experience defining and delivering Information Security best practice.
- Experience leading Information Security initiatives, including awareness programmes, training and phishing simulations.
- Understanding of data governance, cyber security and data protection principles.
- Experience working with security audits and assurance activities.
- Good project management experience in developing and implementing IT projects
- Ability to prioritise according to business strategy.
- Relevant certifications are desirable, but not essential if there's substantial experience
