We are recruiting a Risk Manager to join a second line Technology Risk function within a well established UK bank. The role focuses on providing independent oversight and challenge across technology risk, including IT risk, cyber and information security, data risk, operational resilience and intra group services. You will work closely with first line teams and senior stakeholders, providing risk advisory support, contributing to regulatory engagement, and ensuring technology risks are effectively identified and managed.

Responsibilities

  • The role involves independent oversight and challenge of technology risk across a range of areas and collaboration with first line teams and senior stakeholders to ensure effective risk identification and management, as part of regulatory engagement support.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a regulated environment, ideally financial services, with a background in technology risk or operational risk.
  • Strong understanding of governance and control frameworks.
  • Experience working with public cloud shared responsibility models.
  • Ability to translate technical issues into clear risk insight.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC or CISSP are desirable but not required.

Work Model

The role follows a hybrid model with three days per week in the office.
