Your new company
You will be working for a multi-academy trust based in Preston. Currently, the trust has over 10 schools, providing a supportive and collaborative environment for both staff and students. They are seeking an IT Technician to work in a high school in Preston from 1st June 2026 until the end of the school year.
Your new role
You will be a senior IT Technician based in a high school and may be required to support 3 primary schools as well. Whether this be phone support or on-site support. You will be working with the IT business partner and central team to provide day-to-day operational support. The role is on-site 5 days a week, Monday-Friday 0800-1600.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the helpdesk support operates smoothly and efficiently
- Support the implementation of new systems and processes
- Support the delivery of projects across the trust
- Deliver training to trust staff
- Configure and install hardware and software
What you’ll need to succeed
- Experience of working as IT Support in the education sector.
- Excellent communication and service skills and the ability to work independently without supervision.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft and school software.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
