Job Details

This job role is based in Hemel Hempstead. Onsite (5 days office-based). Monday-Friday (37.5 hours per week). You must be able to obtain DV clearance in order to start this role. You will need to have lived in the UK for 10 years+ to obtain this.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, configuring, developing, and integrating various vendor applications to provide robust network management solutions for multiple network devices and host infrastructure.
  • Demonstrating the ability and enthusiasm for self-development, broadening knowledge in new technology areas.
  • Utilising your experience in physical and virtual host infrastructures to ensure a resilient platform for hosted applications.
  • Delivering design changes, improvements, and updates in support of product lifecycles.
  • Implementing assured end-to-end solutions to meet the Customer\’s operational goals.
  • Executing against the project technical roadmap and delivery plan.

Requirements

  • Built & deployed Network and Infrastructure management & monitoring tools with strong knowledge of SNMP, syslog & IP networking.
  • Experience of Multi-vendor applications deployment and product integration e.g. with security tools, directory services, backup solutions.
  • Experience of building systems and applications to hardened Security standards, along with producing High and Low level design documentation and build guides.

Nice to Have

  • Building and integrating application toolsets using scripting and product APIs.
  • IT Infrastructure skills including Microsoft and Red Hat operating systems, plus use of deployment tools e.g. VMware templates.
  • Microsoft Active Directory experience including Group Policy definition and deployment.
  • VMware Infrastructure deployment and management experience.
  • Experience in third-party Certificate deployment (PKI).
  • Experience with storage solutions and SAN networking.
  • Database skills (SQL, Oracle) including high availability.
