I'm looking for candidates with a self-driven, go-getter personality who are keen to progress their security careers within a supportive and forward-thinking environment with colleagues all pulling in the same direction.

What this role involves:

This role is expansive in terms of the areas you'll be getting involved with, we are not expecting candidates to be experts across all of these fields, however, the more the better:

  • Working with the organisation's managed service provider and helping to manage alerts coming through
  • Working with governance colleagues on the Cyber Essentials certification
  • Helping the organisation with 3rd party risk management and assurance

What I'm looking for:

  • Experience in a cybersecurity or infrastructure security role.
  • Experience of commonplace SIEM and vulnerability management tools
  • Experience tweaking/tuning endpoint detection and response tooling
  • Strong knowledge of detection and response solutions, such as EDR, XDR and MDR.
  • Experience handling ISO27001 or Cyber Essentials + certifications
  • Knowledge of how to integrate security into project lifecycles
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to document findings and engage stakeholders clearly.
  • Working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
  • Comfortable investigating incidents and proposing technical and procedural improvements.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of email security gateway technologies.

Benefits

  • A salary up to Β£46,500
  • 8% employer pension contribution
  • 24 days plus 3 closure days over Christmas plus bank holidays, continued service increases available
  • 50% hybrid working structure
