About BT Consumer

We run the biggest and best fixed broadband and mobile network services in the UK with an ambition to be the country's most trusted connector of people. We bring together the BT, EE and Plusnet brands to serve more than 25 million subscribers and connect for good. Because we own the best networks for mobile and broadband, the biggest and most exciting tech brands in the world partner with us so we can bring our customers new products and services beyond the connectivity we've always been famous for. That includes gaming, TV, entertainment and home and cyber security.

The Scope

This role is essential to driving BT Consumer's growth and customer experience across the strategically important Apple and Gaming categories. It leads BT's largest partnership with Apple, requiring strong relationship management, an understanding of their wide product and services ecosystem, and the ability to deliver value within a highly structured commercial framework. At the same time, the role shapes BT's evolving gaming strategy by working with major console, cloud and content partners to identify growth opportunities and translate partner strategies into BT's own plans.

You will set the direction for both categories, align partner ambitions with BT Consumer's commercial priorities, and lead a team to deliver strong performance, seamless execution, and long-term partnership value.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead BT Consumer's partnerships across Apple and Gaming, setting strategic direction and identifying new ways to drive commercial growth, customer experience and long-term partner value.
  • Oversee end-to-end relationship management with Apple-BT's largest and broadest partner-ensuring strong collaboration across their ecosystem (devices, services, content) and navigating a structured, contract-led operating model.
  • Shape and grow BT's gaming strategy by working with major console, cloud and content partners, understanding their market strategies, and translating these into BT's own growth plans.
  • Make key commercial decisions, including negotiating and signing off partner agreements, securing investment, prioritising initiatives, and aligning commercial roadmaps across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of partnership professionals, making decisions on resource allocation, capability development and performance to ensure effective delivery across the portfolio.
  • Drive performance through clear KPIs, analysis of partner data, and delivery of high-quality insights that guide strategic choices, commercial priorities and continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Strategic partnership expertise, able to manage complex, high-value relationships across both structured environments like Apple and fast-evolving sectors such as Gaming.
  • Strong commercial judgement with experience negotiating agreements, assessing investment opportunities and driving performance across devices, services and subscription propositions.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and managing high-profile partners where trust, diplomacy and long-term collaboration are critical.
  • Understanding of consumer tech and digital entertainment markets, ideally including familiarity with Apple's ecosystem and/or gaming platforms (console, cloud or content providers).
  • High-level strategic thinking, able to interpret partner strategies, identify growth opportunities and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Proven leadership capability, with experience coaching and developing teams, managing resources and ensuring effective delivery across a partnership portfolio.

Benefits

  • Annual on target bonus - 15% (calculated using both personal and company performance multipliers)
  • £5,500 car allowance (can be taken as cash)
  • Family health cover
  • BT Pension scheme; minimum 5% employee contribution, BT contribution 10%
  • 25 days annual leave + 8
