Information Security Consultant required to join a Global Financial Services firm on a 12-month fixed‑term contract. In this role, you'll play a key part in securing project and product delivery across the business. You'll collaborate with IT and business teams to assess risk, design secure solutions, and implement pragmatic controls aligned with organisational risk appetite. This is a great opportunity to influence security strategy while working on high‑impact initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver security assurance for projects, strengthening controls and addressing emerging risks
  • Lead cross‑functional teams to solve complex security challenges and support project delivery
  • Design and implement measurable, scalable, and maintainable security solutions
  • Provide expert guidance on third‑party risk and security considerations
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the business and wider security team
  • Proactively identify new and evolving threats, recommending effective mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and improve overall risk posture
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce risk

About You

  • Proven experience delivering information security initiatives, including risk mitigation and change management
  • Strong understanding of IT environments and associated security challenges
  • Solid project management and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer focus

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of Windows 11 environments, ITIL, AI, Cloud Security
  • Experience with coding/scripting, application security, big data, server hardening, architecture, and networking
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or MIISP

Working Arrangements

We support flexible, hybrid working. You'll typically spend at least two days per week working away from home (e.g., office, client sites, or events), increasing to three days in the future. Flexible arrangements can be discussed.

Note: Temp to perm can be an option at end of contract.
