Microsoft Fabric Consultant (Frontend & Backend)

£450 per day | Outside IR35

We're partnering with a leading Microsoft Partner seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Consultant to support a range of enterprise client engagements.

This role requires a consultant who can operate across the full Microsoft Fabric stack, combining strong backend data engineering expertise with frontend Power BI development and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and optimise end-to-end solutions within Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop and maintain Fabric Lakehouses, Warehouses, Data Pipelines and Dataflows.
  • Build scalable data ingestion and transformation processes using Fabric and related Azure technologies.
  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models.
  • Create complex DAX measures and data models to support business reporting requirements.
  • Work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support Fabric migrations, platform enhancements and best practice implementation.
  • Provide guidance on data architecture, governance, performance optimisation and reporting strategy.
  • Required Experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience across both backend data engineering and frontend BI/reporting.
  • Advanced Power BI development skills including DAX, data modelling and semantic models.
  • Experience building Lakehouse and Warehouse solutions.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Azure Data Factory and/or Azure Databricks experience beneficial.
  • Previous consultancy or client-facing experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Security Requirements
  • Active SC Clearance highly desirable.
  • Candidates who have held SC Clearance within the last 12 months will also be considered.
