The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Product Owner to join a global organisation investing heavily in data, artificial intelligence, automation, and digital transformation.

The business is embarking on a major technology modernisation programme and is seeking a Product Owner who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

This role will play a critical part in identifying, prioritising, and delivering AI-enabled products and data solutions that improve operational efficiency, decision‑making, and business performance.

This position offers the chance to work at the forefront of Generative AI, agentic AI, analytics, and automation while helping shape the organisation’s long‑term data and AI strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with business objectives and strategic goals.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across multiple business functions to identify opportunities for AI, automation, and data‑driven improvements.
  • Translate business requirements into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Drive the development and adoption of AI‑enabled solutions, including Generative AI, intelligent automation, copilots, and agent‑based workflows.
  • Partner with data, engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to ensure products are scalable, secure, and fit for purpose.
  • Define success metrics, business outcomes, and performance measures for new products and initiatives.
  • Support experimentation, proof‑of‑concepts, and AI use‑case discovery activities.
  • Ensure appropriate governance, privacy, compliance, and responsible AI considerations are incorporated into product delivery.
  • Coordinate testing, user acceptance activities, release planning, and stakeholder communication.
  • Monitor product performance and continuously identify opportunities for optimisation and enhancement.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 3+ years' experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst within Data, Analytics, AI, Automation, BI, or Digital Product environments.
  • Strong experience managing and prioritising product backlogs.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering data, analytics, reporting, automation, or AI‑focused initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Understanding of Generative AI, AI‑enabled products, machine learning concepts, intelligent automation, or agentic AI.
  • Experience defining requirements and working collaboratively with technical teams.
  • Knowledge of Power BI and self‑service reporting environments.
  • Understanding of data modelling concepts, including metrics, lineage, governance, and semantic models.
  • Familiarity with data privacy, governance, security and regulatory considerations.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within enterprise‑scale transformation programmes.
  • Exposure to Azure data and AI technologies.
  • Experience supporting AI adoption and change management initiatives.
  • Understanding of modern data platforms and analytics ecosystems.
