- Senior IT Technician
- Lincoln | £39,600 | Hybrid working
If you're working in IT support and want a role where you can broaden your technical experience, this is worth a closer look.
You’ll be one of two IT Technicians supporting a business of around 80 people, so the role gives you exposure to far more than simply dealing with support tickets.
You’ll still be providing hands‑on support, but you’ll also work across the wider Microsoft 365 environment, networking, device management and cybersecurity.
Day to day, you'll be working with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Share Point and Teams, managing user accounts and permissions, onboarding and offboarding colleagues, deploying mobile devices and providing network support.
It’s a broad role where you'll be able to take ownership of problems and see them through rather than working within one narrow area of IT.
There is also a good project element to the position.
The business is working towards ISO 27001 accreditation, and you'll work alongside the other IT Technician on the cyber security side of that project.
That should particularly appeal if you've developed a solid background in IT support but now want to expand your experience into security, infrastructure and the wider Microsoft environment.
You’ll need previous IT support experience and a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
You don't need to have done everything listed above, but you should be comfortable providing technical support directly to users and keen to keep developing your technical knowledge.
The salary is £39,600, with 28 days' holiday plus 8 bank holidays, private medical insurance, dental cover and pension contributions matched up to 6%.
There's also an electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme available after three months' service.
The role is based in Lincoln, with the option to work from home one day a week.
For somebody who enjoys the hands‑on side of IT support but wants more variety, technical exposure and the chance to build their cyber security experience, there's a lot here to get involved with.
