Overview
Job Title: IT Application Support
Location: Preston. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £29,000 + depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Support a regular cadence of updates and hotfixes for products across multiple platforms
- Collaborate with multi-site, global, off-shore, development, administrating and product management teams
- Maintain and use the various deployment systems
- Partner with Administrators, developers and product managers to establish and execute the technology vision and strategy, and enhance end-user functionality
- Identify and solve operational problems in both physical and virtual environments, and supporting production web applications and root cause remediation
- Ensure the established monitoring alerts are responded to in a timely manner to ensure for system quality availability, security, performance and failures reducing time to resolution
- Create and document SOPs for all IT activities
- Participate in On-Call and after hours\' maintenance activities
- Engage in and work through major incidents
Your skills and experiences
Essential:- IT administration and application support exposure
- Product and applications knowledge and skills
- Experience in communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Use of Kanban Boards or Software Lifecycle Management Tools (e.g ServiceNow)
- Config Management Tools (MSP, Visio, Power BI, Archer)
- ITIL foundation V3/V4
- Awareness of ISO27001, Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials +
