An established UK-regulated financial institution is seeking a highly experienced Head of Operations to lead its operational, technology, and resilience functions. This is a senior executive role, reporting into the C-suite, with accountability for ensuring safe, efficient, resilient and customer-centric operational delivery across the organisation.

This is a strategic and hands-on position, suitable for a senior leader who thrives in a regulated, transformation-focused environment.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Extensive senior-level operations leadership experience within a UK bank, building society, or FCA-regulated financial institution.
  • Deep understanding of UK banking operations: payments, KYC/onboarding, fraud, reconciliations, customer servicing, and complaints handling.
  • Strong regulatory knowledge (FCA Handbook, PRA rulebook, Operational Resilience, Consumer Duty, SYSC).
  • Proven expertise in designing, scaling and optimising operational models.
  • Experience managing outsourced providers and complex supplier relationships.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence at Board and regulatory level.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technology change and digital operations.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and people-leadership capabilities.
