We are supporting a high-growth, investment-backed business operating in a capital-intensive, project-led environment. Having scaled rapidly over recent years, the organisation is now entering a new phase of growth and is looking to strengthen its finance function to support this next stage.

As Head of Finance Operations, you will take ownership of the finance operations function and play a key role in developing the systems, processes, and team required to support continued growth. This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a dynamic SME/scale-up environment, with exposure to both operational detail and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the finance operations function in a high-growth environment
  • Own and enhance the finance systems landscape, including ERP optimisation
  • Ensure systems support statutory reporting, management reporting, audit and controls frameworks
  • Develop and mentor the finance team, building capability and structure
  • Partner with senior stakeholders and contribute to commercial and strategic decision-making
  • Operate as a hands-on leader, balancing delivery with leadership
  • Review customer and supplier contracts
  • Own relationships with banks and debt providers
Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified accountant with 7+ years PQE in a similar role
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and developing financial systems, processes, and policies, including integration with wider business systems
  • Experience as a product owner of a finance ERP system (e.g. NetSuite or equivalent)
  • Exposure to leadership-level decision making
  • Track record of driving change in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
  • Strong knowledge of tax and accounting regulations
  • Experience with cyber security governance at a leadership level
