Data Engineer - Salesforce Integration Specialist
6-Month Contract | £450/day | Outside IR35 | King's Cross, London (2-3 Days per Week Onsite) | Start Date: 3rd August
We're supporting a leading Salesforce Partner on a confidential end-client engagement and are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong Salesforce integration expertise.
The Role
You will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining data flows into and out of Salesforce, helping to ensure business-critical data is available, accurate and synchronised across the wider technology estate.
Working alongside Salesforce Consultants, Architects and technical stakeholders, you'll play a key role in delivering complex integration solutions and enabling seamless connectivity between platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines integrating Salesforce with internal and third‑party systems
- Design ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion, transformation and synchronisation
- Develop and support API‑led integrations and data services
- Deliver batch and real‑time data integration solutionsEnsure data quality, governance and integrity across integrated systems
- Work closely with Salesforce teams to support platform enhancements and ongoing projects
- Troubleshoot integration issues and optimise performance
- Contribute to integration architecture and best practices
Required Experience
- Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer
- Proven experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise systems and applications
- Experience building and maintaining scalable data pipelines
- Strong SQL and data transformation skills
- Experience working with REST and SOAP APIs
- Strong understanding of integration patterns and data architecture
- Experience handling complex datasets from multiple sources
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Highly Desirable
- MuleSoft
- Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk API, Platform Events)
- Experience with middleware and iPaaS platforms
- Python or other scripting languages
- Data modelling and master data management
- Event‑driven and real‑time integration architectures
