The Solution Architect will take a leading role in the design, architecture, and delivery of complex Microsoft-based solutions across CRM and business application environments. This role focuses on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform technologies, including custom applications, integrations, portals, and cloud-based business solutions. You will work closely with client stakeholders, internal delivery teams, and technical specialists to ensure solutions are designed, built, and delivered to a high standard across the full project lifecycle. In addition to delivery responsibilities, the role contributes to pre-sales activities, solution shaping, and technical governance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions across client and internal projects.
- Oversee technical delivery teams across design, build, testing, and deployment phases.
- Gather and define technical, operational, and business requirements during discovery and pre-sales stages.
- Act as a key technical liaison between business stakeholders, developers, and external partners.
- Ensure solutions follow established best practices, architectural principles, and platform standards.
- Develop proof-of-concepts to evaluate and demonstrate technical approaches and design options.
- Use knowledge of Microsoft technologies to solve complex architectural and integration challenges.
- Provide guidance and technical leadership to project teams throughout delivery.
- Identify risks within solutions and propose mitigation strategies or escalation where required.
- Contribute to sales and solution shaping activities when needed.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies or enhancements to improve existing solutions.
Competencies Required
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in solution architecture within Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft cloud technologies and enterprise application design.
- Experience with system integration and technical solution design.
- Exposure to pre-sales or solution scoping activities is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with C#, JavaScript, and Power Platform tools.
- Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment is advantageous.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Clear communicator with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and development.
