I am actively seeking a hands-on D365 Business Central/NAV subject matter expert to take ownership of my client's upgrade from NAV to D365 Business Central. This is a key role within a growing UK organisation where you'll lead analysis, upgrade, and ongoing development - becoming the internal go-to expert for all things Dynamics 365. This permanent role operates a hybrid working model, split between home and Derbyshire offices (on-site time project phase dependent).
The role will see the successful candidate play a pivotal role in modernising the business's ERP platform, including:
- Leading the upgrade from Dynamics NAV to D365 Business Central (on-prem to modern architecture)
- Conducting systems analysis and driving best-practice, out of box solutions
- Delivering ongoing development using AL extensions
- Supporting and enhancing financial modules and core ERP functionality
- Contributing to wider IT initiatives (e.g. integration's with Power BI, occasional .NET development)
- Acting as the internal SME and trusted advisor for BC across the business
Skillset
- Strong experience with Dynamics NAV and/or D365 Business Central
- Proven track record in ERP upgrades/migrations (NAV → BC preferred)
- Solid systems analysis and problem-solving skills
- Experience with AL development/extensions
- Good understanding of finance processes and modules
- Any exposure to .NET, or Power Platform is a bonus
- Self-sufficient, proactive, and comfortable owning the ERP function end-to-end
