About the Role
A strategic, senior position owning security design patterns across enterprise IT, cloud services, and complex Operational Technology (OT/SCADA) environments. Embeds "security by design" across critical national infrastructure while aligning controls with ISO 27001, NIST, and NCSC CAF standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain security architecture standards, reference designs, and patterns across enterprise IT, cloud, and OT infrastructure.
- Act as the technical Security Design Authority for new capital projects, system changes, and third‑party supplier solutions.
- Conduct threat modelling and architectural risk assessments to identify control gaps and drive resilience.
- Collaborate closely with 24/7 operations, network engineering, and OT teams to ensure security patterns are pragmatic and operational.
- Align controls with recognised frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).
What We Are Open To
- Proven experience in technical security architecture within enterprise or industrial settings.
- Strong grasp of network segmentation, identity/access management, cloud security, and OT/ICS security fundamentals.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or TOGAF are desirable.
