We're seeking experienced Azure Platform Engineers to support a large-scale cloud and data platform transformation. This role sits within a modern Azure and Databricks environment where engineering quality, precision, and clear communication are critical.

Core Technical Requirements

  • Azure Platform Engineering
    • Strong hands-on experience building and operating Azure cloud platforms
    • Deep understanding of Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, resource organisation, and governance
    • Experience implementing secure, scalable Azure environments following enterprise architectural standards
    • Ability to design and support foundational platform components used by data and engineering teams
  • Terraform (Infrastructure-as-Code)
    • Solid production experience delivering Azure infrastructure exclusively via Terraform
    • Strong competency with module structure, state management, variable design, and code reuse
    • Experience integrating Terraform with existing tooling and workflows for controlled deployments
    • Ability to produce clean, maintainable, well-structured Terraform code aligned to engineering best practice
  • Databricks
    • Practical experience administering or engineering Databricks platforms
    • Strong understanding of workspace configuration, cluster settings, compute policies, secrets, and access controls
    • Knowledge of managing Databricks jobs, pipelines, and workspace resources in an enterprise setup
    • Ability to work closely with data teams to ensure platform stability, performance, and governance
  • Unity Catalog
    • Hands-on experience with Unity Catalog for data governance, access control, and lineage
    • Understanding of catalogs, schemas, tables, securable objects, and permission models
    • Knowledge of migrating from legacy Hive Metastore to Unity Catalog
    • Ability to implement structured governance frameworks across multiple Databricks workspaces
