An established engineering and construction design specialist is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the delivery of projects across regulated clean and wastewater projects in the UK.
Projects:
- Various UMON projects in Sewage Treatment Works
- Pumped storm storage for CSOs and Sewage Treatment Works
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.
- Produce design calculations and drawings for the water industry.
- Direct and develop CAD technicians and more junior designers and graduates.
- Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and group standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 10 years' mechanical design experience in the UK water industry
- Significant experience in hydraulic design
- Awareness of electrical design and control systems.
- Registered with professional body and working towards chartership
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Chartered engineer
- Experience in electrical and/or control engineering
- Experience in UMON schemes
- Awareness of construction methods and materials.
