Fast Jet Stress Engineer in Blackburn

Role Overview

This advanced manufacturing business is looking for a Stress Engineer on a 12‑month contract to work in Samlesbury. The position is a hybrid 3‑4 day per week onsite role focusing on the F35 programme.

Responsibilities

• Analyse design changes for F35 structural components.
• Validate analysis against test results.
• Support clearance of non‑conformances on the shop floor.
• Assist in the clearance of in‑service repairs.
• Work collaboratively within a team of two or more Engineers.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of stress analysis methods for lightweight airframe structures.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis is desirable.
• Familiarity with CATIA design environment.
