The organisation and delivery of University Open Days for Undergraduate and Postgraduate prospective students is an essential component to recruit high quality students and showcase what the University of Southampton has to offer. The Student Recruitment, Marketing and Events Department is looking to recruit an events expert, with experience of large-scale event delivery to organise this key activity as a maternity cover. Ideally the post holder will have an understanding of the education sector, but this isn’t essential.

A proven record of complex event management with multiple stakeholders will be required as well as a passion for the sector to deliver what is expected from our prospective students. The role will manage a small team to organise the Open Days but will be supported by the wider team during event delivery and is expected to support other in person and virtual events delivered within the Student Recruitment Event Team.
