We are seeking a Registered Children’s Nurse, active on the NMC register, to join the Children’s Nursing Team in the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health at the University of Southampton. The team is experienced, friendly, and supportive, and is enthusiastic and committed to developing the next generation of Children’s Nurses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver face‑to‑face teaching for the nationally recognised pre‑registration BSc (Hons) Children’s Nursing, the Integrated Masters of Nursing leading to registration as a Children’s/Mental Health Nurse, and the 2‑year MSc Children’s Nursing programme.
  • Apply contemporary clinical practice knowledge in teaching and discussions.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative education and research that transforms children’s nursing healthcare across the lifespan.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered Children’s Nurse, currently on the NMC register.
  • Completed a Masters level qualification (preferred).
  • Ideally, has educational experience or a strong passion for teaching students.
  • Experience in community nursing would be an asset.
