We are seeking a Sustainability Programme Manager to manage and deliver a range of sustainability activity across the organisation. This will be a critical role in supporting the NIHR to meet our sustainability objectives.
About NIHR: The NIHR funds, enables and delivers world‑leading health and social care research that improves people's health and wellbeing and promotes economic growth. We are also a major funder of applied health research in low and middle‑income countries.
Key Responsibilities:- Project manage a portfolio of related initiatives, balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Analyse complex issues and data to identify risks, opportunities and practical solutions.
- Prepare briefings, reports and recommendations to support informed decision‑making.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships across NIHR and with external stakeholders and represent your work at meetings when required.
- Contribute to learning and development activity to build sustainability capability across the organisation.
We seek someone who is motivated by sustainability and brings passion and knowledge to the organisation. You will be comfortable working across different priorities and demonstrate a commitment to sustainability.
Essential Skills and Experience:- Build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities.

- Translate sustainability goals into actionable items within the programme.
