Foundry Operation & Logistics Technician in Southampton

The CORNERSTONE Photonics Innovation Centre (C-PIC) at the University of Southampton aims to create a pipeline of Silicon Photonics enabled companies serving multiple industry sectors by 2030. The team provides a Silicon Photonics fabrication service to researchers worldwide, centred around unique cleanroom capabilities in Southampton.

Responsibilities

• Operate standard qualification tests on cleanroom tools.
• Prepare chemicals and processes for cleanroom operations.
• Manage consumable stock for the nanofabrication team.
• Package and transfer state‑of‑the‑art Silicon Photonics devices out of the cleanroom and ship them to C‑PIC users, internal research and enterprise partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory environment with proven ability to plan and progress work activities.
• Relevant experience and success in administrative work.
• A degree in a science‑related subject or equivalent industry experience.
