What you’ll do
We are seeking a Technology Internal Auditor who will be responsible for the timely execution of risk-based internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan, and assisting with other audit matters and projects, within the Technology area. This position reports to the Global Head of Audit - IT, Networks, and Programme Assurance who in turn reports to the Global Head of Audit - Technology.
- Support the Global Head of Audit - IT, Networks, and Programme Assurance and a team of peers to deliver the audit plan by providing knowledge and expertise.
- Lead the scoping, planning, delivery, and reporting of relevant and forward looking Technology audits across the Operating Companies.
- Be a Subject Matter Expert within the Technology Domain in the areas of IT operations, IT service management, IT and Network resilience, information security, etc.
- Perform audits on topics such as 5G, Cloud, Internet-of-Things (IoT), Blockchain, and other emerging technologies.
- Identify, develop, and document audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas under review.
- Provide insightful results through the audit reporting process.
- Incorporate the use of data analytics within the audit approach to increase the extent of assurance, quality of insight, and efficiency of our audits.
- Develop good rapport and business relationships with Technology leaders across the organisation whilst maintaining professional independence. These relationships should contribute to the understanding and acceptance of the Internal Audit requirements, approach, and reporting methods, and enable us to understand issues and identify areas for improvement.
- Liaise with Technology managers to track progress in addressing agreed audit actions and confirming their timely closure.
- Recommend and implement ideas for improving the team and wider Internal Audit Department.
Who you are
Must have one of the following Technology risk and control related qualifications:
- CISA, ITIL, or COBIT
- PMBOK or Prince2
Preferably also technical/ professional qualifications such as:
- CRISC, CISSP, CISM, ISO27001, or ISO 22301
Competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Experienced in the area of IT controls and/or IT risk management either in an implementation, operation, or assessment role.
- Experienced in audit (external and internal) and familiar with Internal Audit standards.
- IT process knowledge e.g., as defined in frameworks and standards i.e., ITIL, COBIT, ISO, or British Standards.
- Well-versed in assessing business and technology risks and controls with an ability to articulate the risks and recommend business-focused solutions.
- IT knowledge on IT networks, operating systems, databases, and applications, ideally including the Microsoft stack and SAP.
- Experience in mobile telecoms or related businesses.
- Ability to think independently, analytically, and creatively.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills to interact effectively with senior management.
- Ability to prioritise, multi-task, and comfortably adapt to a changing environment.
- Experience in data analytics (i.e., scoping, delivering, and/or consuming) using tools such as PowerBI or Qlik Sense.
- ‘Digital’ skills, i.e., fluent in working with audit software and the Microsoft 365 suite including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
- Excellent English communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
- Experienced in working within complex multinational and/or multi-cultural environments.
