We are looking for a highly skilled, highly motivated Operational Technology Security Consultant to help grow our Security practice, with a focus on Operational Technology (OT) environments. You will be seen as a trusted advisor and help our customers secure their OT environments, protect critical infrastructure, and mitigate security risks. The role will require the Operational Technology Security Consultant to conduct consultancy and oversee project assignments in the field of Operational Technology (OT) cyber security to help our customers mitigate the risks of vulnerabilities in their OT environment.

Here’s what the role looks like:

  • The Senior Consultant is a pivotal role within the Operational Technology (OT) team covering aspects of staff management and fulfilling the role of Primary customer contacts and overall responsibility for all OT project work.
  • Manage and co-ordinate consultancy and assist with the project management assignments in the field of OT Security to help customers mitigate the risks of vulnerabilities in this environment.
  • This candidate should have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to manage and interact with others from the executive level down to highly technical analysts in structured and unstructured situations.

Requirements

Here are the key skills and experience relevant to this role:

  • Primary customer contacts for OT projects
  • Third party suppliers – manage sub-contracted work on OT projects
  • Manage and design site surveys to help customers identify the systems in their OT environment
  • Manage system and network security compliance assessments to assess vulnerabilities in OT environments
  • Facilitate risk assessments to assess and mitigate the identified vulnerabilities in OT environments
  • Develop OT policies and procedures to help customers reduce the risk of a security breach at an installation and sustain OT security
  • Manage audits and gap analysis to assess customer compliance against policies and procedures to ensure ongoing protection against security incidents
  • Remediation of OT to close gaps and ensure compliance with policies and standards
  • Provide general OT security advice to assist customers addressing OT security issues and ensure safe, continuous production operations
  • Resolve customer issues
  • Line Management of OT Consultants and Engineers
  • Staff management and development
  • Working with Project Manager to ensure Management of project budget and timescales
  • University Degree qualified
  • GICSP Qualified
  • Extensive experience working within the OT Security domain; either in a consultant capacity or as part of an organisation internal OT function
  • Specialty in one or more of the following OT domains: Network Architecture, Inventory Gathering, Situational Review, Endpoint Protection, Policy; Governance, Standards, Education & Awareness
  • Experience working in a consultant capacity or within an organisation OT environment to establish roadmaps to improve their current security posture and developing the functional/operational processes and procedures to support their mission
  • Experience developing content-rich final reports and associated deliverables with results of subject matter expert analysis and improvement recommendations
  • Experience presenting the results of applied analysis to client stakeholders to include senior or executive leadership
  • Experience with cyber security processes, tools, and technologies and extensive knowledge of best practices regarding their implementation
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to successfully accomplish client-facing interactions
  • Position may require degree of travel; mostly in the United Kingdom, Europe and Middle East
  • GICSP Qualified

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience working as a Consultant in the OT environments across a variety of verticals to include Energy, Oil and Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical and/or related industries
  • Prior experience as a consultant leading an assessment or evaluation of an OT environment to include execution of the assessment, analysis of results, and formulation of a final report for dissemination to key stakeholders
  • Prior experience evaluating and assessing large organisations from the standpoint of OT Cyber security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCIA, GCIH, GCFE etc.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and standards to include but not limited to the following; IEC 62443, NERC CIP, NESA, OG86
  • Considered an authority within the OT environments.
