The global fee-earning population is supported by a superb team of legal and risk lawyers and advisors ensuring there is effective risk management and compliance in every jurisdiction. We are seeking a qualified practicing lawyer with around 5+ years’ PQE gained in a large national or international law firm to join the firm’s global business acceptance team.The role will be a trusted advisor to the firm’s senior management team and will be instrumental in providing advice on conflicts of interest, terms of engagement, new business policies and confidentiality issues. The role would suit a mid-to-senior level associate who is seeking an advisory role within the internal legal function. We are open minded as to your experience and will consider transactional, advisory or contentious backgrounds. If you have got experience of working in-house in a law firm legal function and/or have business acceptance or conflicts experience that is also highly desirable but is not essential. The key to this role is being able to relate to stakeholders at all levels and you must have strong communications skills. You should be able to deal with complex and forensic issues as they arise and provide clear and concise advice to the firm’s fee-earners and partners. The role will require the postholder to work at a senior level across numerous jurisdictions, so it is essential that you are confident, approachable, diplomatic and able to command respect. The issues that arise are often sensitive and confidential in nature and the role directly relates to the risk profile of the firm. We are seeking an individual with a focused, can-do attitude and a desire to inspire and motivate others. You must be a team player who enjoys collaboration and is able to develop strong and lasting relationships across the firm. It is essential you can have strong commercial acumen and can demonstrate a balanced approach to business risks.
