Our client is an international law firm with an outstanding reputation for excellence, headquartered in the City of London and offices across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It is currently experiencing growth on a global scale and the infrastructure is growing to support it.
We have an exciting opportunity for a solicitor to join the internal legal, compliance and risk team to work on a range of corporate, commercial, compliance and governance issues. This is a newly created role due to growth of the team and offers a chance to tackle a wide range of matters.
You will be working directly for the Head of Corporate Risk & Governance within a wider team consisting of around 12 lawyers and approximately 30 non-lawyers providing support to the firm across Europe, Middle East and Asia. The type of work you will encounter may include:
- Commercial agreements and procurement
- Internal investigations
- SRA compliance
- Support on changes to and growth within the corporate structure
- Advising on risk and corporate governance
To fill this role we are seeking a lawyer with at least 2+ years’ PQE gained in risk and compliance, ideally within a law firm. You must have strong academics and have undertaken a training contract in a leading regional, City or International law firm. We are seeking an individual who is keen to learn, has the ability to work independently when needed, has a can-do attitude and is self-motivated.
As the role will expose you to a wide range of fee-earners, senior stakeholders and external third parties we are seeking strong communication skills and confidence for building relationships.
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a high calibre work environment, supervision and training by excellent senior lawyers and a chance to develop and progress their career. The firm operates a hybrid policy of 60% in the office (3 days a week) and this role will be based in the London office.
