Our national law firm client has a highly regarded full-service offering and now seeks to further strengthen its Tax group with an additional partner hire in London. The partners are happy to consider existing partners and also talented senior lawyers on the cusp of partnership.

This is a really good opportunity for a senior and experienced tax lawyer to bring additional and complementary skills to this team, particularly around the tax advice on SEIS, EIS and VCT structures. Given the full-service nature of the firm, there is plenty of additional and supportive expertise in other areas such as regulatory, corporate, finance and broader corporate tax.

Significant internal workflows are coming out of these and other teams given the firm's sector focus and reputation in the fast growth, startup and scaleup market. As a well-established firm, our client has a significant number of historic client relationships across sectors which will continue to keep this practice area busy with new instructions.

Therefore, skill set (and profile) are going to be a much more important consideration than bringing your own relationships/following - although good client handling skills will be crucial. You should also be willing to get involved in the management of the team and show the energy and enthusiasm to drive this practice area forward.

Exceptional retention rates (for all levels at the firm) and a transparent compensation structure speak volumes for the collaborative and collegiate nature of this firm. You can be assured of plenty of support from the partners as you bed in and a first-rate infrastructure, including an excellent, motivated associate body.

This is a superb opportunity to join an impressive group of lawyers and progress your career at a profitable and stable firm.
