Our client is one of the major multi-disciplinary firms in London’s West End, providing a full range of high-quality legal advice to its clients. The firm is proud to represent a range of corporates, start-ups, high net worth individuals and family offices.
The firm is seeking to hire a new Head of Risk & Compliance to support the partner who holds the COLP roles and manage one junior compliance specialist. The Head of Risk & Compliance will lead on all aspects of the firm’s risk management and regulatory compliance strategy. This will include client onboarding and business acceptance, financial crime, managing risk registers and SRA regulation. The role is critical in safeguarding the firm’s reputation and ensuring ethical, compliant practice across all legal departments.
We are seeking an individual with significant experience working in a law firm risk and compliance department. You must have in-depth working knowledge of the UK legal sector including SRA regulation. You are likely to be working at a manager or “head of” level already and be confident working closely with senior stakeholders. We are also seeking an individual with robust commercial acumen to enable the business to flourish while remaining compliant with rules and regulations.
If you are a self-starter who enjoys taking responsibility and having autonomy this could be the role for you. You must be able to build trust and credibility and demonstrate skills to nurture junior talent.
