A close client of ours in the Thames Valley region is seeking an England & Wales qualified real estate lawyer of circa 4-5 PQE up to 7 PQE max to support the development, construction, operation and refinancing of a portfolio of renewable energy projects across the UK. The role sits within a small, commercial in-house legal team reporting into the General Counsel.

The role will focus primarily (circa 80%) on land and property matters for solar, storage and associated infrastructure, working closely with development, construction, asset management and finance teams. For the remaining 20%, for your career benefit, it will be a mix of construction, commercial, PPA, corporate etc. Therefore, we’re not looking for someone who just wants to do real estate law.

At its core, the role will involve drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of real estate matters including, but not limited to:

  • Option Agreements
  • Agreements for Lease
  • Leases
  • Easements and Wayleaves
  • Cable and Grid Easements
  • Substation and Grid Connection Land Arrangements
  • Landowner variations, lease extensions and renewals
  • Advising development teams on land risk, title strategy and structuring
