Our client is a leading UK law firm which is genuinely something a bit different. The firm is highly regarded for its media and technology work and whilst already well established, it nonetheless retains an entrepreneurial and innovative approach. It has an exceptional client base, including HNWIs and corporates in the entertainment sector, for which it undertakes a full range of services.
The firm offers a collegiate, vibrant and supportive environment, a clear path for career progression and a strong platform from which to learn and grow. It seeks high performing, committed and innovative people who aren’t afraid to push themselves to be the best they can be.
Due to the growth of the risk & compliance team we have an excellent opportunity for a Conflicts Manager to join the firm. You will be involved in the critical process of new business acceptance, investigating and making decisions on complex client issues. You will consider legal / regulatory requirements, internal policies and strategies as well as reputational and commercial conflict implications.
The role will involve assessing new conflicts, acting as a point of escalation for the complex issues, supervising analysts and acting as a strategic support to the Director of Risk & Compliance and senior staff in the firm. It is also important that you have experience of working with InTapp or another conflicts database. You will have exposure to a wide range of other risk and compliance issues and will be invited to take on additional responsibilities in due course.
Our client is ideally looking for an engaging and confident risk and compliance advisor who has experience of handling conflicts issues in law firms or professional services environments. We would expect you to have at least 3+ years of work experience. You must be confident, able to communicate with senior stakeholders, ready to learn and have good attention to detail. Any previous experience of mentoring or managing juniors is also highly advantageous but not essential.
This is an outstanding role for someone who is seeking a new challenge and looking to advance their career in risk and compliance.
