We are looking for an experienced accountant who has experience of working in a UK practice and management of a client portfolio. This is a varied and interesting role for the right candidate with a broad cross-section of work.
Role responsibilities:
- Preparation and finalisation of year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Calculating income tax and corporation tax liabilities while advising clients appropriately.
- Preparation and filing of corporation tax and personal tax returns.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- All round Book-keeping and Accounting duties.
- Giving general advice to clients.
Personal Requirements:
- ACCA/ACA Qualified, Finalist or approaching final stages.
- Experience in UK practice is essential.
- Strong understanding of financial statements.
- Tax experience desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting and tax software e.g. Sage, Xero, Iris.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients.
