Our Gloucester based client is currently looking to appoint a Senior Payroll Officer on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This opportunity is available for an immediate start with hybrid working options available.
Responsibilities include:
- Accurately process payroll information such as new starters, leavers, contractual changes, absences, overtime and related data, ensuring all submissions are authorised and employee records remain current.
- Review, validate and quality-check payroll entries made by Payroll colleagues on the system to guarantee accurate and timely salary payments.
- Participate in a rota with fellow Senior Payroll Officers to manage and deliver the weekly payroll run.
- Assess and apply previous employment service details within the payroll system to ensure correct entitlement and pay calculations.
- Perform complex manual calculations where required, ensuring all adjustments are accurately reflected.
- Respond effectively and professionally to payroll-related enquiries from employees, managers and HR colleagues.
- Maintain organised and up-to-date payroll documentation and employee files as required.
