CY Executive Resourcing are pleased to be working with an NHS Trust in the East Midlands area, as they seek to appoint a Finance Business Partner to strengthen their finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a dedicated and driven team, either to develop your NHS career or make the transition from a related sector.
The post works closely with the Deputy Head of Finance in the provision of comprehensive financial business advice and information, to support General Management and Budget Holders.
Key responsibilities:
- Utilise in depth specialist knowledge of business, legislative and NHS environment to assist in developing proposals and production of plans.
- Develop and manage influential relationships with key customers to provide specialist financial and commercial advice.
- Evaluation of complex proposals and to influence the development of broader policy across the directorate.
- Contribute to Trust wide financial planning.
- Direct, lead and motivate the junior finance staff.
- Work in conjunction with Directorate Managers to prepare plans in accordance with timetables and Cost Improvement Programmes.
- Provide guidance and support to Budget Holders to enable effective budgetary control.
- Identify areas where savings and efficiencies can be made.
- Ensure the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports.
- Analyse complex problems relating to business case production.
You will be a driven and hard-working individual, with strong Management Accounting and Business Partnering skills. You will thrive working in a high-pressured environment and adhering to strict deadlines.
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with NHS or wider public sector experience, and be able to work on site 3 days per week in the East Midlands area.
