We are supporting a key client who requires an experienced Tax Manager to join their ever-growing business, working closely with the Directors and leading the day-to-day management of our tax department. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to take ownership of a varied and technical role within a well-established and supportive practice. Based in the local office, you will be part of a friendly team, managing a broad portfolio of tax compliance and advisory work. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will be responsible for managing the tax function, overseeing compliance, and acting as a key point of contact for clients and tax authorities.
Role Duties
- Preparation and submission of Self-Assessment Tax Returns
- Monitoring and reviewing tax payments due, including Payments on Account, and issuing reminders
- Providing tax planning advice, including pensions and Business Asset Disposal Relief
- General tax compliance work
- Completion and submission of P11D
- Completion of A1, W-8BEN-E, and other foreign tax forms
- Handling Tax Enquiries and Investigations with HMRC
- Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients
- Ensuring all statutory deadlines are met
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a UK Accountancy Practice β minimum of 5 years due to seniority of the role
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
