We are currently supporting one of our clients, a respected and growing accountancy practice based in Hereford, in their search for an experienced Accounts Senior to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in accountancy practice, ideally with experience in accounts preparation and/or audit, who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and statutory accounts files for manager or partner review
- Assist with audits – including planning, execution, and completion – ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget
- Work with a variety of clients including sole traders, partnerships, small limited companies, charities, trusts, and other not-for-profit organisations
- Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and conduct independent examinations where required
- Prepare basic personal and business tax computations for review by a manager or partner
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in a practice environment is essential
- Comfortable working with a variety of clients and adapting to their individual needs
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, compliance requirements, and audit processes
Ideally you will be either AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part/fully qualified (or qualified by experience)
