Laboratory Shift Technician Location: Darlington Salary: £29,800 CY Partners are seeking a Laboratory Shift Technician to join an analytical focused laboratory in Darlington. You will play a vital role in ensuring marine fuels meet ISO specifications and regulatory standards, contributing directly to environmental protection and safe operations worldwide. Key Responsibilities Prepare and test marine fuel samples using standardised methods Analyse properties such as viscosity, density, sulphur content and metal content Operate advanced equipment (e.g., GC-MS, ICP-OES, Karl Fischer) Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 quality and safety standards Collaborate effectively and communicate results clearly Requirements BSc in Chemistry (or similar) or previous industry experience. Ability to work well independently. Comfortable handling large volumes of samples. Experience with wet chemistry techniques is desirable.
