CY Partners is supporting a well-established, fast-paced FMCG manufacturer in the search for a permanent Formulation Development Chemist to join their Technical NPD team. This opportunity represents a fantastic chance to play a pivotal part in the end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept through to launch.
The Role:
You will lead the technical development of new and existing formulations, working cross-functionally to ensure products meet performance, cost, and compliance standards. From lab bench to manufacturing scale-up, your expertise will help bring commercially viable products to market at pace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimise formulations for personal care and aerosol products.
- Manage projects from lab development through to production handover.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards (GMP, CLP, REACH, etc.).
- Coordinate feasibility assessments and provide timely support to commercial teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Production, QA, SHE, and Engineering.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and raw material rationalisation.
About You:
- Degree-qualified in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrable formulation experience in personal care, cosmetics, or aerosols.
- Strong project management skills with experience in an FMCG setting.
- Comfortable working at pace and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solutions-focused, collaborative, and technically curious.
