CY Partners are looking to recruit a Development Chemist on behalf of an innovative and growing chemical manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, testing, and support of high-performance specialty fluid formulations used in safety-critical applications across diverse industries. Responsibilities Formulation & Development: Plan and execute laboratory-based research focused on the development of new fluid products for industrial use. Product Support: Provide technical input and ongoing formulation support for the existing product range to ensure continued performance and compliance. Project Management: Collaborate with senior R&D staff to prioritise workstreams, define timelines, and report on progress. Data & Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of experimental procedures, analyse data, and deliver technical reports and presentations. Test Development: Assist in the design and implementation of testing protocols and equipment specifications for performance validation. Compliance & Safety: Uphold high standards of laboratory safety, quality, and environmental compliance in all activities. Requirements A degree (BSc or higher) in Chemistry or a related scientific field. Prior experience in a formulation chemistry or product development role, ideally within the industrial or specialty chemicals sector. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Effective communicator, capable of translating technical data into clear conclusions. A collaborative and adaptable team player.
