Overview

  • A strategically important opportunity has arisen within a large NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) in the South East following a recent senior-level restructure within the Contracts function.
  • We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator / Contracts Officer to provide operational and administrative support to the Contracts team during a period of transition and transformation.
  • This is a key role supporting provider contract management, requiring prior experience specifically within an NHS contract management or commissioning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Contracts function across a portfolio of NHS provider contracts.
  • Support the coordination and management of contract documentation, variations, and schedules.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records, trackers, and reporting tools.
  • Assist in the preparation for contract review meetings, including agenda setting, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, finance teams, and providers to ensure timely information flow.
  • Support data collection, validation, and reporting processes linked to contract performance.
  • Contribute to contract mobilisation and transition activities arising from the recent restructure.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Proven experience working in an NHS contracts or commissioning function (e.g., ICB, CCG, CSU, or provider organisation).
  • Demonstrable experience providing administrative support within a contracts environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience supporting meetings and producing high-quality minutes.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of NHS Standard Contract structures and processes.
  • Experience working at Band 6 or Band 7 level (or equivalent).
