An NHS organisation in the South Midlands is seeking an experienced Senior Information Analyst to join its Finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analyst with NHS data, income or performance experience to play a key role in ensuring activity reporting, income monitoring and data quality processes support effective decision-making across the organisation.

Working closely with Finance, Performance, Information and Operational teams, you will take responsibility for maintaining key income reporting systems, supporting commissioner reporting requirements and investigating data issues to ensure the organisation receives accurate reimbursement for the services it provides.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support the organisation's income reporting systems.
  • Monitor and investigate data feeds, identifying and resolving issues.
  • Produce regular income, activity and contract monitoring reports.
  • Support national data submissions and undertake reconciliation of information across multiple reporting systems.
  • Develop and improve reporting solutions, including Power BI dashboards and performance reporting tools.
  • Respond to commissioner queries and support income validation activities.
  • Provide technical advice and analytical support to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Assist with Freedom of Information requests relating to activity and income data.
  • Support wider finance systems, costing and reporting initiatives as required.

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who have

  • Previous NHS experience within Information, Business Intelligence, Income, Performance, Contracting or Financial Management teams.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience of extracting, manipulating and analysing complex datasets.
  • Experience producing and interpreting activity, performance or income reports.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting platforms would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of NHS datasets, commissioner reporting processes or income systems would be highly desirable.
