The purpose of the role is to take responsibility for the management and leadership of the Finance team across our UK sites.
Main Duties And Responsibilities:
- Managing the team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement culture.
- Responsible for reviewing and developing solutions to maintain robust control environment including fx control, balance sheet controls.
- Weekly/Monthly operational reporting, development of team KPIs.
- Capital project appraisals.
- Group budgeting, forecasts and business planning processes in partnership with key stakeholders within the business.
- Understand and oversee the audit, statutory accounts filing and tax reporting processes.
- Continually review and improve financial processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Carry out all necessary actions to ensure that the company mitigates risk whilst meeting its financial and legal obligations.
- Commercial business partnering with non-finance stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Provide sound financial advice to the other members of the Board, as well as Senior Managers.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- SAP experience required.
- Strategic thinking, curious, ability to implement change, and drive teams in a continuous improvement culture.
- FMCG / Manufacturing experience, ideally in the food industry.
- A track‑record in developing and delivering effective business partnering through provision of relevant and insightful business analysis and information to key stakeholders.
- Excellent people management skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Inspirational leadership skills that drive team engagement.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA considered).
- 3+ years post qualification experience working in a business partnering role within a large corporate structure.
